Dinkyo helps clubs run pickleball open play: checking players in, making fair games, sharing courts live and showing rankings. This page explains what information Dinkyo keeps, why, who can see it, and the choices you have.
In short: we keep only what's needed to run open play. We don't sell your information, we don't show ads, and Dinkyo doesn't use advertising or analytics trackers.
Who we are
Dinkyo (dinkyo.app) is run from Manila, Philippines. Questions or requests about your information: dinkyo@googlegroups.com.
Information we keep
Organizer accounts
- Email address and password, or your Google account if you sign in with Google (we receive your name, email address and profile picture from Google; we only use your email and name). Passwords are handled by Google Firebase Authentication; Dinkyo never sees them.
- Your club: club name, club link and an optional logo.
- Co-organizers: the email addresses you invite, and requests to join your club.
Players
Organizers add players to their sessions, or players check themselves in with the club's link. For each player Dinkyo keeps:
- name, an optional skill level (Beginner, Novice or Intermediate) and an optional photo;
- check-in status, the games they played, partners, opponents, scores, wins and rankings;
- past open plays saved by the organizer, so the club can see its history and leaderboard.
If an organizer imports a list from Reclub, Dinkyo copies the names, profile photos and pickleball levels that Reclub shows for that meet.
Players following the courts
- If you tap Find my name, the name you follow is saved on your own device.
- If you turn on lock-screen alerts, your browser gives us a push address, saved with the name you follow, so we can tell you when you're up next.
On your device
Dinkyo saves your settings (language, appearance, the club you last opened) in your browser's storage, and keeps a copy of the app so it works offline. "Playing with Friends" sessions are stored only on your device.
Security
When you create an account with an email, a check by Cloudflare Turnstile confirms you're not a robot. Cloudflare may process technical information from your browser for this check.
How we use it
- To run open play: queues, fair games, courts, results and rankings.
- To show the session live to the club's players and on the TV display.
- To send emails you ask for: your 6-digit sign-up code, password resets and co-organizer invitations.
- To send up-next alerts to players who turned them on.
- To keep Dinkyo secure and stop abuse.
We don't use your information for advertising and we don't sell it.
Who can see it
- Anyone with a club's link can see that club's live session: player names, photos, levels, courts, games, scores and rankings. Organizers decide who is in their sessions; ask your organizer if you'd rather not be listed with your full name or photo.
- The organizer and their co-organizers can see and change everything in their club.
- Organizers can download and share a Final Rankings image with names, photos and records.
Services we use
| Service | What for |
|---|---|
| Google Firebase | Sign-in and storing club data (Google Cloud) |
| Google Sign-In | Signing in with a Google account, if you choose it |
| Cloudflare | Hosting the website, sending alerts and emails, the not-a-robot check |

These services may process information outside the Philippines. They handle it under their own privacy policies and security measures.
How long we keep it
- Club data stays until the organizer deletes it (players, sessions, past open plays) or asks us to delete the club.
- Sign-up codes and email limits are kept for about an hour.
- Push addresses are removed when you stop alerts or when they stop working.
Your choices and rights
Under the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 you can ask to see, correct or delete your information, or object to how it's used.
- Players: ask your club's organizer, who can edit or remove you, or write to us.
- Organizers: you can edit your club and delete players, sessions and past open plays in Dinkyo. To delete your account and club completely, email dinkyo@googlegroups.com.
- Alerts: tap Stop on the club page, or turn notifications off in your browser.
Children
Dinkyo is a tool for organizers. Organizers who add players under 18 should have permission from a parent or guardian, especially before adding a photo.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. Big changes will be announced in Dinkyo.
